Local Communities

Guardsmen has actively and will continue to actively engage local contractors who demonstrate the skills needed to meet Guardsmen's business needs.  In addition, Guardsmen seeks interaction with local communities to participate in skills training to enhance the available work force.  Guardsmen supports government revenue sharing initiatives with affected first nations as such are negotiated in respect of royalties paid by Guardsmen for extraction of available mineral resources. The company supports the effective efforts of its partners in engaging affected first nations and has participated itself in funding of road access to our mineral interests.
